Aim:
The aim is that each student must know how to scientifically analyse, describe and evaluate the causes and effects coming from transportation of any environmental pressure on natural ecosystems. Another aim is to discuss and propose general measures to reduce the environmental impact and negative effects.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
TGTN95 Traffic Environment and Safety in Society, TNK077 Deterministic Modelling and Simulation

Organisation:
The course consists of lectures, seminars, demonstrations and laboratory work.

Course contents:
Relationship between transportation and environment. This includes the study of environmental effects of emissions from traffic, air pollution, noise and other stressors. Causes and the consequences of ecological damages especially from traffic and transportation but overall damages that humans are causing in Sweden, Europe and the rest of the world.
