Aim:
The course comprise various aspects of imaging and visualisation of biomedical structure and functions. This rapidly expanding field comprises X-ray technology, MR and ultrasonic imaging as well as more specialised techniques for dynamic studies of specific body functions. The course comprise problem-based project work with in-depth analysis of various imaging and visualisation techniques.

TSIT64 Signal Theory Y or TSIT65 Signal Theory D, TBME50 Biomedical Engineering, TBME02 Anatomy and Physiology

Organisation:
The course is based on problem based learning. This includes tutorial sessions, seminars, lectures, workshops and laboratory work.

Radio biology, radio physics, nuclear medicine.
Image generation technology, X-ray, CT, MR, ultrasound and microscopy.
Laboratory experiment: X-ray systems, digital images.
