Aim:
The aim of the course is to develop skills to model and design typical mixed-signal processing subsystems as well as evaluate the performance of such systems.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Analog Konstruktion (TSTE30) eller motsvarande.

Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.

Organisation:
The course consists of lectures, computer-aided exercises and a design project.

Course contents:
Modeling of mixed analog and digital signal processing systems. Sampling and reconstruction. Analog filtering for sampling and reconstruction, methods for compensating process and temperature variations. A/D och D/A conversion. Sample-and-hold-circuits. Performance metrics, nonlinearities and noise modeling. Digital pre- och postprocessing for increased system performance.
