Aim:
To give knowledge of queueing models and their applications.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
NMAB06 Mathematical Statistics, first course, or a similar course.

Organisation:
The teaching consists of lectures, lessons and obligatory computer exercises.

Course contents:
Queueing Theory: The Poisson process, Markov processes, Little´s Formula, Markov queueing systems (one server, several servers, finite and infinite carrying capacity), Erlang`s formulae, more general queueing systems, networks of queueing systems, simulation of queueing systems.
