Aim:
The theme of this course is the role of information technology (IT) in business and society from a management perspective. The course provides an introduction to information systems (IS), IT and strategy; IS, organisations and change; the IT function, the organisation and the competition; security and control, ethics and integrity.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Three years university studies with an engineering major (industrial engineering and management or mechanical engineering). At least 20 credit points in mathematics (calculus, algebra, probability theory).
Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.
