Aim:
The course will provide basic knowledge of antenna theory and technology, and introduce the basic theory that underpins antenna design technology.
After this course the student should
- Be able to interpret different parameters and properties used to characterize antennas.
- Analyse the basic antenna problems.
- Perform and master fundamental descriptions of antenna properties.
- Critically formulate an appropriate model and calculate properties of linear wire and linear array antennas as well as rectangular antenna.
|
|
Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Basic circuit theory and some knowledge of programming.
Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.
