Aim:
Biomedical Engineering (Medicinsk teknik) is the cross-section between healthcare, engineering and biomedical sciences, aimed at improving people�?Ts health. This course gives an overview of the field.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Basic skills from first and second academic year at LiTH.

Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.

Organisation:
Lectures with assignments, laboratory work and educational visit.

Course contents:
The course focuses on important selected regions within biomedical engineering, such as radiology, circulation diagnostics, respiration diagnostics, biomechanics, electrode technology, medical informatics, rehabilitation and medical imaging.
