Aim:
The aim of this course is to let the students learn about the kind of innovative technical work that can be protected by IPRs and how companies with respect to IPRs make business assessments.
After completed course, the students are supposed to have capacity to solve, on their own hand, minor juridical questions within â?oIntellectual Property Rights". They should also be able to follow and understand more complex juridical discussions.


Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)

Lectures and individual studies

Course contents:
The focus of the course will be on the Intellectual Property Rights. The legal issues of Patents, Trademarks, Design and Copyright will be discussed, as well as the questions on the different possibilities of protecting computer soft- and hardware. Questions related to the commercialisation of IP rights throughout license- agreements, Trade secrets and the marketing legislation will also be included in the course.
