| Aim: The course aims to give the student experience of working in a larger project that has similar structure as a research project. Furthermore does the course aim to increase the student's knowledge within a research close area within the field of environmental systems analysis. |

| Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered) Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding. |

| Organisation: The major part of the course is organised independently by the students themselves in the assignment groups (2-4 students). An introducing seminar deals with scientific method and the methodology of working in projects. In the middle and the end of the course, are the students responsible of a seminar. The assignment of the course is to be presented both oral and written. Participation in writing a scientific paper may occasionally be possible. |

| Course contents: Methodology of working in project, introduction to scientific work and scientific method. The topic of the assignment is discussed with the supervisor. Potential areas of interest are; material flow analysis, energy analysis, analysis of environmental management system. |

| Course literature: No common literature. Individual literature for improved knowledge within the assignments are discussed together with the supervisor. |
