Aim:
This course aims at affording students increased insight in the demands rendered by various communication situations and at increasing their oral and written language proficiency.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
Swedish for science and technology, TGTU 73, TGTU 71.
Communication D, TGTU05, Communication I, TGTU 07.

Organisation:
The course consists of two parts. Oral proficiency consists of 6 lecture and 20 seminar hours. Written proficiency and linguistic theory consists of 14 lecture and 10 seminar hours.

Seminars
Prior to the seminars students shall complete the following three tasks which will discussed at the seminars:
1. A P.M. of 500 words with a written mutual critique
2. An argumentative text, for example a areview of some current technical debate or a popular science book
3. Group advancement task on a central linguistic issue, 7-8 pages. The task includes an oral critique af another group report.
