Aim:
The course is intended to give fundamental knowledge in telecommunication theory.

Signal Processing. Mathematical Statistics is recommended.

Education is in form of lectures/exercises and laboratory work.

Course contents:
The effect of noise in communication systems. Information theory. Analouge and digital modulation techniques, such as AM, FM, PAM, ASK, FSK, PSK and PCM. Channel coding, cyclic block codes and convolution codes. Analysis of transmission lines . Introduction of cellular systems.
