Aim:
To gain basic knowledge of microorgasnisms (bacteria, fungi, algae, virus), the morphology, physiology, genetics, their roll in nature and their interaction wtih humans and animals. Practical knowledge of different techniques used in the field of microbiology (cell culture, diagnostic methods and physiology) should also be gained. Furthermore, theoretical as well as practical knowledge in cellular and molecular immunology.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
TFBI15, TFBI10, TFKE25
Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.
