Aim:
The course provides an overview of problems and methods in computer vision and image analysis. The main issues are techniques for representation and processing of structural information and analysis of multi-dimensional signals. The methods can be used in process control and automated inspection.
|
|
Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
TSBB65 Images and graphics
TSBB35 Multidimensional signal analysis
Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.

Organisation:
The course includes 10 lectures which both introduce the basic aspects of computer vision and present a number of methods for solving practical problems, e.g., image enhancement. During 7 classroom lessons, the corresponding material is covered in the form of numerical examples and preparations for the computer exercises. The course has 5 computer exercises of 4h each in which the students are given the opportunity to have a closer look at the methods presented in the course.
