| Aim: After completing this course the student is expected to be able to identify the main security problems in a computer system, evaluate the usefulness of current tools and methods intended to treat such problems, and to choose effective methods and techniques for own constructions as well as existing products and system environments. Detailed knowledge is required in the areas of basic computer security requirements (the CIA criteria and their interpretation and relation to audit and authentication), common security communication protocols like TLS and IPSec, theoretical models and available structures for access control methods for user authentication cryptography as a security tool. specific products and environments like single sign-on, database security etc. |
