Aim:
- To educate the student in critical thinking and analysis of the processes and requirements of social gaming and design.
- To use knowledge of computer graphics and programming through development of their own game.

Prerequisites: (valid for students admitted to programmes within which the course is offered)
3rd year computer graphics and programming.
Note: Admission requirements for non-programme students usually also include admission requirements for the programme and threshhold requirements for progression within the programme, or corresponding.

Organisation:
The course will be presented through a series of lectures and workshops.
|

Course contents:
The course will ask questions about the requirements of computer games, films, Multi User Online Games. This will include the concepts of storyline and narrative and the construction and function for the user. The specific topic areas which will be covered are:
- Narrative
- Game Design
- Interactive storytelling
- Game and Interaction design
- Project management and production management
- Industry case studies
- Research directions
