| AIM OF THE COURSE |
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- reflect on didactic question formulations and analyse and methodically develop dance and rhythm exercises with focus on primary and lower-secondary school.
- adapt and lead dances based on pupils' different preconditions, needs, maturity and motor development.
- account for the achievement and ambition goals concerning dance at school.

| CONTENTS |
| During the course, the student will analyse different dances and rhythm exercises based on didactic question formulations. Central themes of the course are children's and adolescents' conditions for dancing and communication by movements in different ages, based on maturity and motor development. Through practical applications, the student practices the ability to link theory and practice. |
| TEACHING |
| Seminars, lectures, workshops, literature studies and group assignments are included in the course. Outside of the scheduled studies, students continuously document and reflect on the course contents in portfolio form. |
| EXAMINATION |
The course is examined through presentations of group assignments and literature seminars, self-composed dance and written documentation through a portfolio.
Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course two times are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination. |

| A grade of Pass or Fail is given for the course |
| CERTIFICATE |
| Course certificate is issued by the Faculty Board on request. The Department provides a special form which should be submitted to the Student Affairs Division. |

Planning and implementation of a course must take its starting point in the wording of the syllabus. The course evaluation included in each course must therefore take up the question how well the course agrees with the syllabus.
The course is carried out in such a way that both men´s and women´s experience and knowledge is made visible and developed. |
