| AIM OF THE COURSE |
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- reflect on didactic issues and analyse and methodically develop ball games for primary and lower-secondary school.
- adapt and lead ball activities based on pupils' different ages and preconditions
- carry out ball exercises with regard to safety aspects
- account for the aims of ball games in school and selected parts within voluntary physical education |
| CONTENTS |
| During the course, the student will analyse different ball games based on didactic question formulations. Central themes of the course are children's and adolescents' preconditions for participating in ball games in different ages on the basis of maturity and motor development. Through practical applications, the student practices the ability to link theory and practice. Ball activities in society are studied through field studies. |
| TEACHING |
| Seminars, lectures, workshops, literature studies, group assignments and field studies are included in the course. Outside of the scheduled studies, students continuously document and reflect on the course contents in portfolio form. |
| EXAMINATION |
The course is examined through active participation in presentations of group assignments and literature seminars, and also individual portfolio based on course contents and field studies.
Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course two times are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination.
Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades. |

| A grade of Pass with Credit, Pass or Fail is given for the course |
| CERTIFICATE |
| Course certificate is issued by the Faculty Board on request. The Department provides a special form which should be submitted to the Student Affairs Division. |

Planning and implementation of a course must take its starting point in the wording of the syllabus. The course evaluation included in each course must therefore take up the question how well the course agrees with the syllabus.
The course is carried out in such a way that both men´s and women´s experience and knowledge is made visible and developed. |
