| AIM OF THE COURSE |
On completion of the course, the student should have:
- knowledge of how work with aesthetic subjects in an outdoor environment may contribute to the pupils' social and personal development
- acquired an educational and didactic approach regarding application of the aesthetic subjects in the outdoor environment
- knowledge of the importance of outdoor environment for the imagination, creativity, motor function, health and ability to concentrate of children and adolescents
- developed the ability to lead groups in outdoor educational contexts |
| CONTENTS |
| The creativity and creative ability of children and adolescents are put into an outdoor educational perspective. The participants should through their own experiences develop knowledge of and experience in work with different aesthetic modes of expression in the outdoor environment. Student active working methods together with the natural and cultural heritage create the frame of the course. The importance of leadership for learning out-of-doors is highlighted. |
| TEACHING |
The working methods mainly consist of lectures, seminars and study visits together with own practical work. The major part of the education is located in different environments out-of-doors. The assignments are carried out as group work and/or independent work. The course is carried out in such a way that both the experiences and knowledge of men and women are acknowledged and developed.

| EXAMINATION |
The course is examined continuously through an individual, written reflection assignment linked to the activity of each course date, and the reading list. A presented final assignment, consisting of an individual educational development assignment, is required to pass the course.
Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course two times are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination. |

| A grade of Pass or Fail is given for the course |
| CERTIFICATE |
| Course certificate is issued by the Faculty Board on request. The Department provides a special form which should be submitted to the Student Affairs Division. |

The course literature is decided upon by the department
in question. |
| OTHER INFORMATION |
Planning and implementation of a course must take its starting point in the wording of the syllabus. The course evaluation included in each course must therefore take up the question how well the course agrees with the syllabus.
The course is carried out in such a way that both men´s and women´s experience and knowledge is made visible and developed. |
