| AIM OF THE COURSE |
| The purpose with this course is to provide the students with more insight and knowledge on techniques useful for studying histological material. The students will also be given classes in how to evaluate and judge the obtained results. A general course in tumour pathology and inflammation will be provided. |
| CONTENTS |
Histology general course on tissues and cells.
Lectures will also be given on related topics such as:
Antibody production: How to raise mono- and polyclonal antibodies
In situ hybridization: detection of mRNA in tissue
Tissue array, Microdissection, Morphometric analysis of histological specimen
One week wet-lab session.

| ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS |
PhD students; Bachelor of Science in Biomedicine or other related subjects such as Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry or Pharmacology.
Obs! To be admitted to courses taught in English you must fulfil the requirement of at least one year of full-time undergraduate studies. Documented knowledge of English equivalent to "Engelska B" is required, or an international proficiency test, e.g. TOEFL, minimum score 550/213. |
