Students who have failed an examination are normally allowed to retake it on two additional occasions, one of which should be arranged shortly after the first examinationn. Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course three times are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination. |

Earlier studies at least up to a level corresponding to three years of study at a Swedish university, i.e. approximately equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree at a British university International students who do not have English as their native language must prove proficiency in English by submitting results from a TOEFL test or other internationally recognised tests (TOEFL score at least 213/550) Applicants who have previously studied in Sweden must at the start of the programme hold a Kandidat-xamen in a relevant field or a professional degree of at least three years of study. In addition, all applicants must fulfil the specific entrance requirements stipulated for each programme, normally in-depth studies for at least one year in a field relevant for the programme, including a degree thesis or final paper of approximately ten weeks of study. Relevant edcational background (et BA-level) includes anthropology, education, history, language studies, psychology, and sociology International students who cannot submit a final thesis or project works written in English in a subject relevant to the programme in question must enclose a paper of some 500 words of length, written in English, which describes her/his previous studies. The paper should focus on the studies relevant to the master’s level programme applied for. It must also describe why the applicant is interested in following the programme. Planning and implementation of a course must take its starting point in the wording of the syllabus. The course evaluation included in each course must therefore take up the question how well the course agrees with the syllabus. The course is carried out in such a way that both men´s and women´s experience and knowledge is made visible and developed. |
