AIM OF THE COURSE
On completion of the course, the student should be able to:
- illustrate a historical theme
- account for how to create an exhibition in a vivid and, for the visitor, involving way
- interpret history, describe the dynamic force of history and the history subject.
CONTENTS
The course consists of the subjects of History and Producing and Using Exhibition The purpose of the historical part is to provide inspiration and background for the exhibition work. Thereby, opportunity is given to discuss the specific starting-point for imaging that the specific historical theme implies. The teaching in the area of exhibition technique and imaging includes developing creative solutions within given frames based on a vision, with parts of an exhibition displayed in a museum as the final result.
TEACHING
The teaching takes the form of lectures, seminars and practical work based on literature studies and discussions. The students should also study independently.
EXAMINATION
The result of the exhibition assignment constitutes the examination, both individually and in groups. In addition, there will be reflections on the result and creative process. Compulsory attendance applies to examining parts.

Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course two times are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination.

Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Documented practical experience of exhibitions and students on programmes with connection to the exhibition medium.
GRADING
A grade of Pass with Credit, Pass or Fail is given for the course
CERTIFICATE
Course certificate is issued by the Faculty Board on request. The Department provides a special form which should be submitted to the Student Affairs Division.
COURSE LITERATURE
The course literature is decided upon by the department in question.
OTHER INFORMATION
Planning and implementation of a course must take its starting point in the wording of the syllabus. The course evaluation included in each course must therefore take up the question how well the course agrees with the syllabus.

The course is carried out in such a way that both men´s and women´s experience and knowledge is made visible and developed.
