AIM OF THE COURSE | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The whole course is intended for non-Swedish-speaking students who have completed their upper secondary school abroad and who plan to study at university level in Sweden. The aim of the whole course is that students should become proficient in Swedish, and acquire a knowledge of Swedish social and cultural studies as well as gain familiarity with teaching and examinations at a Swedish university/college of higher education. Students who have passed the final examination are eligible for university studies in Sweden in accordance with the regulations set by the National Agency for Higher Education (HSVFS 1996:22 §4) determining that the education is equal to Swedish 2 course B at Swedish secondary schools or municipal schools for adult education. The entire course package will also lead to eligibility in social studies for course A (ShA). A prominent feature of this course is that it is geared to higher education and is run in close cooperation with those organizing the courses for students´ continued studies. The entire course package entails full-time studies for one academic year and is divided into two semesters. |
