CONTENTS | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The course contains basic theory and practice in drama communication. The course includes lectures where we try out and practise group-building exercises, improvisation, exercises in body language and status, verbal communication exercises, using story and myth as sources of inspiration, leadership and interpretation on stage. During a residential weekend, which is in part financed by the students, the students will during the spring try out and learn about a team building method. The students also specialise in a subsection of the subject by carrying out a field study. This course has clear communicative contents with a focus on interhuman relations.
TEACHING | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The course has an insight-oriented working method in order to gain advanced knowledge of all parts of the course. The studies are focused on experience-oriented creative and reflective work in teacher-supervised and unsupervised working methods. The teaching sessions are characterised by practical work and reflection. Teacher-supervised theory sessions are featured, but by and large the student acquires theoretical knowledge individually and in groups. The examination assignments include relating theory to practice and vice versa. The students are required to prepare for and participate in the teaching sessions and group assignments, supervision of fellow students, literature seminars and examinations. Both supervised teaching and the work in groups are documented.
EXAMINATION | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
The student is examined continuously during the course, and the forms are scene presentation, and oral and written examination. A field-related project is included, and is examined through presentation and public discussion at a seminar. Publicly discussing the work of others is also included in the examination. The compulsory parts of the course comprise the examinations that are evident from the course guide, the literature seminars, which require a discussion journal, and the residential weekend. All examinations are based on the contents of the teaching sessions. Students failing an exam covering either the entire course or part of the course two times are entitled to have a new examiner appointed for the reexamination. Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades. |

OTHER INFORMATION | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Planning and implementation of a course must take its starting point in the wording of the syllabus. The course evaluation included in each course must therefore take up the question how well the course agrees with the syllabus. The course is carried out in such a way that both men´s and women´s experience and knowledge is made visible and developed. |
