Introduction to Education, 7.5 HE credits (Pedagogisk översiktskurs)
This module covers the emergence, development, basic concepts and theories of education. Also highlighted here are different content-based fields/divisions of education and educational processes in different contexts, such as school, working life and leisure-time. This course also introduces library searching and study techniques.

Socialisation and Identity Development, 7.5 HE credits (Socialisation och identitetsutveckling)
This module covers basic knowledge of social influence processes and their importance for the socialisation and identity development of individuals and groups. Among other things, the course highlights questions of how human self-image and image of others are shaped, how values and norms arise and how these are maintained and change. Socialisation and identity development constitute central concepts in the course and are covered from different theoretical perspectives.

Perspective on Learning, 7.5 HE credits (Perspektiv på lärande)
This module covers basic concepts and theoretical perspectives on learning. Questions that are brought up are, for example: Who is learning? Why does one learn? What is learnt? How does one learn? Another part that is covered is the conditions for learning in different situations: What are the opportunities for learning? What obstacles for learning can be identified? This is highlighted from the level of individuals, groups, organisations and communities. Also covered in the course is the relationship between learning and knowledge, education and teaching: Can learning be planned, and if so, how? What does the learning result in?

This module covers basic theories of educational planning, teaching and presentation techniques. More specifically, the following fields are covered: perspectives on educational planning, methods for needs assessment, conditions for planning and implementing education, methods for oral and written presentation and evaluation of educational initiatives.
