AIM OF THE COURSE
After conpletion of the course, the students should be able to
- develop and understand key managerial issues of international business development, from a theoretical as well as a practicioners perspective.
CONTENTS
The course is targeting students who are in the latter part of their studies in business course, and who have a strong interest in management processes and internationalization. The (Dynamics of International Management) has a processual perspective and begins with an overview of the historical development of the international enterprise as a starting point. From then on the course is structured in two parts: a conceptual part and an applied project. The conceptual part covers some key managerial issues: the internationalization process of the young firm, historically in the form of the so called Uppsala model, and in the present day business environment: management of foreign subsidiaires: globalization of the business environment; later network models of the global but often regionalized international firms: global/international strategy and management.
TEACHING
Teaching will consist of lectures, seminars and group discussions. In addition to those, the studenten are expected to study on their own. Instruction of language: English
EXAMINATION
Examination of students will be carried out through a written examination and/or through written assignments.



Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

At least two years undergraduate studies, one of which must be in a discipline relevant to the course.

The course is graded according to the ECTS grading scale A-F
