AIM OF THE COURSE
On completion of the course the student should be able to
- show knowledge and understanding of the expanding field of project management
- discuss key topics and problems in project management and project based firms
- analyze different projects and project environment
- analyze different management logics in project manangement
- describe the specific characteristics of project-based firms.
CONTENTS
The course gives a broad introduction to the field of project management and project-based firms and focuses on the analysis of problems in project management and project-based firms. Other covers such topics as:

- The defintion and basics of project manangement
- The different logics of manangement and organization of projects
- The management and organization of project-based companies
- Innovation and learning in project-based companies.

Key problems also include such areas as innovation and learning in strongly projectified firms. Other issues entail the career and commitment of professional workers.
TEACHING
The course consists of lectures, seminars and group discussions. Language of instruction: English. Literature reading.
EXAMINATION
Throughout the course case seminars will be held, which require student's active participation, as regards both written case study reports and discussion during the seminar. There will also be a written exam at the end of the course.



Students who have passed an examination may not retake it in order to improve their grades.
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

At least two years of full-time undergraduate studies, one of which must be in a discipline relevant to the course.

The course is graded according to the ECTS grading scale A-F
